The 2015 National Nutrition Month® theme is “Bite into a HealthyLifestyle.” Each March and throughout the year, the Academy of Nutrition andDietetics encourages everyone to return to the basics of healthy eating byadopting a healthy lifestyle focused on consuming fewer calories, makinginformed food choices and getting daily exercise. The goal is to achieve andmaintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic disease and promoteoverall health.




Women, Infants & Children - MCHD

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
